recount story-swimming at flaxmere water world

Going to water world on a nimon Bus.

Splash, splash,splash,rooms 18,19,20,and 21 all went to Flaxmere waterworld at different times.

On monday the 1st of may it was rooms 18,19,20,and 21s first day of going to Flaxmere waterworld to learn swimming lessons.

We went on a bus called a nimon bus it was scary in the front but in the back it was okay.

It was cold in the big pool but in the little pool it was warm.

On the 4th of may on Thursday heretaunga rao rao harumako had there last day of swimming week it was sad because Rm’s 18,19,20,and21 wanted to go back to the pools.

When I first walked in I smelt the fresh chlorine water going into my nose freshly like a bath.

When I hope into the swimming pool I listened to my Instructor when she was telling my group what to do “so to day we are going to do free style heads down and blowing babbles and do your arms” said my Groups Instructor “1 go 2 go 3 go 4 go 5 go 6 go and 7 go” said our Groups Instructor again she was very nice to some of use but she was mean to some others in our 2 Groups because some weren’t listening.

When we got off the bus we went and got changed then we all got into our group lines and then we got into the pool. Same of my friends are in the little pool but same of my friends are in the big pool.

When we got out of the pools room 21 came so we got changed and waited for our nimon bus to come so we could go back to school. When our nimon bus came rm 19 got out and got changed so rm 20 went back to school and some of us fell asleep

At the end of the week on thursday we went for our last day and then it was time to go so we went back to school and finished our work.

Retelling

Maui and the sun

Once upon a time there were five brothers, the eldest brother was Maui.

One night when Maui was just about to eat the sun went down and Maui got so frustrated that he shouted so loud that his brothers ran to him and came from out of the dark dark night.

That night Maui got so angry that him and his brothers hid behind two big big rocks Maui said to his brothers when I say throw it now, throw them and the four brothers said what will we throw though. You will throw hooks but what will we make the hooks out of .”Yous will make the hooks out of flax and one of our fishing hooks” said Maui.

So Maui's four brothers made the hooks out of flax and four of their old fishing hooks. So are you four ready, ready set now!

Maui and his four brothers throw the hooks and Maui said “pull pull “so they pulled and pulled. Maui beat the sun five times so Maui said go slower or we will be back. the sun said “please let me go ,can’t you see I’m nearly dead”.

So Maui said “let him go” so they let him go.The sun went slower so Maui and his brothers got to fish to eat and sleep. The day was longer.

Climbing Steep Watermelon Hills

Once there were two people one named Kyra-Laiz and one named Essence, they were both girls. They loved to climb hills so one day they both meet each other at the bus stop and went to some big hills. When they got there they said it will be called Watermelon Hills so now what we have to do is climb them all but we can have food for our break, so let's go. That day they both climbed one hill each. That night they put a big camping tent up for the night. The next day they both climbed one hill each again. That day when they got to the top of the hills they said yayyyyyyy we made it. They could see everything. That night they both had a party about those two days. They both said the Watermelon Hills were as cool as a snowflake.

The next day they both went to the Watermelon Hills again but they went with their family.

They said we named this the Watermelon Hills so everybody do you like it and everybody said do we like, it we love it! Kyra-laiz and Essence laughed and said thank you everybody and they were in the newspaper.In the newspaper they said the hills were very hard to climb but we did it and they were stars forever and ever. Yay!
